Bad time of the month?...PINK party is off for now

For those who know me well, you'll understand that it was not an easy decision to come to. Unfortunately due to a serious delay in transfer, it looks like I'm only going to be moving in on friday evening/saturday. I'm also going to have to walk on eggshells till transfer goes through, as it's getting quite messy and I can't afford to feed the crocodiles with any damages. What's the point of having a party if you can't let your hair down? For those who know me well, you'll can be safe to assume that this is just a teething blip, plenty of theme parties to come in the not too distant future!

So what happened, you say? Well I got deceived and lied to by the estate agents, who are not worth a cent of the R30k they're getting out of the deal. They were having a little trouble getting the current tenants out of the place, even asking me if I could let them stay after the 1st June. When it became apparent that the transfer would be delayed, they assured me not to worry, as the tenants would be out by then. When I phoned on occupation day to pick up the keys, they took the defensive and told me I had no rights to move in (which was unfortunately quite correct, under the contract). They knew I had intended on moving in that day (knew that i would not be able to), but when questioned as to when they were going to let me know this rather VITAL fact said that I had been left a message...on wait for it...what turned out to be the wrong cellphone number! After 2 months of communications the prat claims he had my number saved incorrectly by 1 digit...And yes that number does belong to an old man who sounds nothing like me. So now I only deal direct with the owner, and everything is so much smoother. Moral of the story, verbal contracts count for nothing-get it all in writing, and even the most professional operators can be just as good at lying too.

Thanks to those who've done a little bit of shopping on the sly, there's a little hope..If it looks like the weather is going to be anything close to last week-end, then there'll be a sunday afternoon fishbraai. Big up to Pedro who's been happily shacked up in my garage ever since. Will keep y'all posted, and of course it's open invitation to pop by from next week
